# Phopcrop
Abstract
Georg Lauteren (AT) / Oswald Berthold (AT)
Lauteren and Berthold develop a slim cross-platform application, which can be used for collaborative, networked audio- and media performances as well as in exhibition and installation settings.
Phopcrop includes a graphical client software, capable of manipulating server sided control configurations in real-time. These configurations are again linked to components generating sound, text or images. Changes in control data should be simultaneously reflected in all connected clients.
The user interface of the software is designed around graphical and spacial metaphors, which will also make it possible for inexperienced users to experiment with Phopcrop. Moreover the project focuses on a server-sided component that converts raw material (files and streams) and control data into a final audio stream.
