Abstract

Max Moswitzer (AT)
Creative Commons Licensing Texts are a set of rules about use, re-use and distribution of creative works. Software texts and arts games are such texts. Re-programmed action bots, taken from a modified shooter game display such a CCL set inside a Head Up Display (HUD). While the game is performed, the bots stream a set of rules about an artists property inside a proprietary game. The game is treated as an optional publication platform and visually recoded as a frame for live streamed ASCII text. An adventure set is used as a perception environment where legal codes can be experienced in action. According to Roger Caillois, play is uncertain, since the outcome may not be foreseen, but it is governed by rules that provide a level playing field for all participants.
