# Stephen Kovats (CN)

Biography

Kovats is initiator and director of international projects, symposia, exhibitions and academic programs in the fields of media arts and culture, architecture, and urbanism primarily at the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation. As director of the "ostranenie" Electronic Media Forum he was engaged in examining the role played by art and media upon the societal transformation process in Central and Eastern Europe. His work aims to integrate cultural media, urban and communications based strategies in the process and product of artistic and spatial discourse.
